Support Worker - Children and Youth


Hōhepa is a disability support service in the Hawke’s Bay for people with intellectual disabilities. These people are full of life, and you will be helping them to reach their potential! 

A key requirement of this role will involve transporting our people, we are looking for people who hold a current full driver's license. 

We offer support to achieve NZQA equivalent qualifications in Health and Wellbeing!

We offer a competitive wage of between $23.65 - $29.10

As a Support Worker you will support people (with your wider Hōhepa Whānau) to find and follow their needs and dreams; making friends, having fun, connecting and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, and to find work, education, and other meaningful occupation. We are looking for people who are energetic and passionate. People with hobbies and interests and skills that they will enjoy sharing with others. It could be drama, music, art, dance, crafts, the environment, horticulture, sports or something completely different. You need to be a natural teacher, be observant and intuitive, genuinely respectful and appreciative of diversity, and be kind, fun and patient.

The shifts for this role would require split shifts and weekend work. A key requirement of this role will involve transporting our people, we are looking for people who hold a current full driver's license.
