Senior Systems Engineer
Hōhepa is a disability support service in the Hawke’s Bay for people with intellectual disabilities. These people are full of life, and you will be helping them to reach their potential!
This is truly a community, this role will involve going to different
locations, one moment you may be fixing printers, the next you will be fixing a
permissions error. You can make this role your own, bringing your own
personality and style. This is not a role with all the new gadgets, you will be
able to offer practical solutions to everyday problems and use your number 8
wire mentality to creatively fix problems. You will be joining a small IT Team
of 3, supporting a wider team of 500 people, operating across the Hawke’s Bay
area. Flexibility in the role is needed, to attend functions or support events,
we would
be open to agreeing a shorter workday (eg 6 hours rather than 8) but do need
the successful candidate to work Monday to Friday.
Hōhepa is a unique environment, and great interpersonal skills are a
must. You will have access to sensitive and confidential information and so a
commitment to respecting confidentiality and privacy is of paramount
importance.

We are looking for someone with experience in the below areas:
- Experience and skills in SharePoint administration/development; using Active Directory; supporting mobile devices; Microsoft 365 admin and application support.
- Knowledge and transferable skills in database design, maintenance, and support.
- Experience supporting and maintaining an Azure environment.
- Knowledge of PABX and VOIP systems, including managing systems and troubleshooting.
- Networking knowledge and familiarity with wireless networking solutions.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, courtesy and respect.
- Willingness to take on and prioritise whatever task is required, to meet needs.
- A passion for technology and business solutions, willing to share your knowledge and expertise.
- A
‘can do’ attitude!
