About the role | He kōrero mō te tūranga

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Specialist with awareness in supporting those with intellectual disabilities. We’re open to flexibility for the right person – whether you’re looking for part-time or full-time hours, let’s have a chat! Our Positive Behaviour Support Specialist will:

  • Deliver training to the people we support and staff
  • Develop positive behaviour support plans
  • Support people with complex needs using evidence-based, person-centered practice
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement
  • Support people with complex needs using evidence-based, person-centered practice

Nga taonga kei roto I tou kete matauranga | What you bring:

  • Experience in disability, assessment, behaviour support
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Strong relationship-building, coaching, and communication skills
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice
  • Open to working through principles of Rudolf Steiner (Anthroposophy)
  • Full NZ driver’s licence
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office
