Casual Support Workers
Hōhepa is a disability support service in the Hawke’s Bay for people with intellectual disabilities. These people are full of life, and you will be helping them to reach their potential!
We are calling for expressions of interest for people interested in Casual Support Worker positions.
This is a casual position; therefore, flexibility is a must! You must have availability to work on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, as well as early mornings and evenings, as this will be an ongoing casual requirement.
A key requirement of this role will involve transporting our people, we are looking for people who hold a current full driver's license.
We offer a competitive wage of between $24.83 - $30.56
As a Support Worker you will support people (with your wider Hōhepa Whānau) to find and follow their needs and dreams; making friends, having fun, connecting and contributing to their local communities, continuing to grow personally, and to find work, education, and other meaningful occupation. Key activities will be walking alongside our people, helping them with daily tasks, including homemaking, personal cares and recreational activities!
We are looking for people who are energetic and passionate. People with hobbies and interests and skills that they will enjoy sharing with others. It could be drama, music, art, dance, crafts, the environment, horticulture, sports or something completely different. You need to be a natural teacher, be observant and intuitive, genuinely respectful and appreciative of diversity, and be kind, fun and patient.
